Knowing Your Purpose is A Part to Fulfilment
As humans, we’re not just here to exist; we’re here for purpose. Some weeks ago, my sister said someone told her, “We’re not supposed to find purpose; purpose is supposed to find us while doing something.”
But I don’t share that sentiment. Purpose doesn’t just land in your lap. You discover it as you grow, try, rise and all. A life without purpose is like dressing up and stepping out without a destination. Do you know what happens eventually? Such person will just keep roaming from one street to another without fulfilment.
And as Myles Munroe said, “When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable.” That’s apt! Because when you don’t know why something exists—whether it’s a gift, a relationship, a platform, or even your own life —you’re likely to misuse it or let others misuse it.
Even God didn’t create us by accident. He said, *“Let us make man in our image…”* with the intent to dominate, influence, and steward the earth. That was purpose at the root of creation.
There’s purpose in going to school.
There’s purpose in getting married.
There’s purpose in starting a business.
There’s purpose in every phase—if you’re willing to look for it.
So, don’t just exist. Discover your purpose, and walk in it. That’s the path to fulfillment.
